How is it that the Liberal mindset cannot possibly allow it to learn from history?
Why can’t Liberals recognize a common cause and rise above rigid Ideology?
As I am want to do, I drifted through the Brady Bunch website, and found another dig in their blogs about the NRA (for disclosure purposes, I am Life Member) because the Brady’s think you should not be allowed to own a gun if your name appears on the “terrorist watch list” Of all the things that a bleeding heart liberal should find unacceptable, the notion that your civil rights are forfeit because you appear on a government LIST??????
Let’s look at the “list”…..
- No one will say how you get on the list
- It is difficult to impossible to get off the list
- being on the list DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE DONE ANYTHING WRONG, COMMITTED A CRIME, OR ARE EVEN THE ACTUAL PERSON THEY WANT TO WATCH
- No one will even say how many names on the list
As far as the Brady’s are concerned, your name on the list is the same as guilty! You could be on the list for attending a demonstration, attending a seminar, belonging to a group, speaking out, having a similar name as another person on the list, or anyone of a thousand perfectly legal activities that someone in the government does not like.
Looking back through history, Government “watch lists” have been the hallmark of regimes like Castro, Stalin, Hitler, Duvalier, Amin, and others. Is this the America that the DNC thinks is ideal? Whatever happened to “innocent until proven”?
While we are at it, how come the moonbats never once called for banning and restrictions on Box cutters?
