Cop Killer Bullets

Here is one of my favorites-The “cop killer bullet”

The bullet vilified by the anti gunners as “cop killers” actually exists.  It is a handgun bullet constructed with a brass core and coated with Teflon (to reduce barrel wear)

Here’s the part THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW: The Bullet was designed BY and FOR POLICE to get better penetration through hard surfaces like car windshields and doors.  This ammunition is not readily available to the general public, and contrary to the “objective” media the Teflon has nothing to do with it’s ability to punch through metal.

In 2004 Ted Kennedy, proving once again that rhetoric is a substitute for research, denounced the .30-30 rifle cartridge as the infamous “cop killer” bullet and that all bullets of this caliber should be banned for the safety of our police officers.  Here’s what Ted did not bother to find out:

The .30-30 is a cartridge that was designed in 1895 long before the notion of police body armor was ever dreamed of.

The .30-30 is one of the most popular cartridges for Deer hunting in the U.S. even though Ted says that it is not useful for hunting deer because deer don’t wear vests.  I wonder where Jim Zumbo was when this was going on?

Why is it the Gun Control people can continuously make things up and NO ONE will call them on it?
